Our Story
Viia’s Skywalker developed from a collaboration with Meryl Unger, CEO of Mobella, and Pininfarina, a world-class design firm. This partnership developed out of a shared goal of reimagining assistive mobility for people navigating aging and mobility limitations.
Mobella is the mobility innovation brand of Thought Forward Design, Inc. Meryl founded Mobella along with her husband Henry Kaufman, who lives with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Their goal was to put thoughtful, human-centered design at the center of every Mobella innovation, partnering with world-class designers and leading academic and industry partners. Together, they set out to reimagine what mobility products could be – solutions that better and more boldly represent the people they’re made for.

The Skywalker™
Our first walker model, The Skywalker, is engineered to provide stylish support and enhance mobility for older adults. With ergonomic optimization and psychosocial impact in mind, we've designed the following features.
Sleek and functional design
Aesthetically pleasing frame with ergonomic leather handles that prevent wear and tear.
Travel-friendly
Lightweight carbon-fiber frame with adjustable widths and height; design allows for compact collapsed mode for storing in cars, planes, and small spaces.
Integrated sensors and compartments
Our technology will track gait speed, distance traveled, and falls (not pictured); Store personal items conveniently and discreetly
